I love reading a fellow photographers words! And yes, I'm a fellow holder-on. It took me 7 years to throw out my old dried wedding bouquet and it was *only* because we were moving house and being brutal. I take photos of everything and videos of many things and if I can't do that I journal all the things.

oh this is so, so good, on so many levels. I loved reading about you as a photographer. I was hoping we’d get mutti’s portrait, and we did. we also got her ceramic egg holder!!! but most importantly, with it all, we got YOU.
I am 100% a fellow holder. I reread my journals with embarrassing frequency. I look at photos on my phone nightly to remember last week, last month, last year. I am constantly grieving the pace at which things change.
but I feed my creativity (a way to hold MYSELF!) with daily cappuccinos, a good reading (and also now rocking) chair, a table of books, a pencil piercing my hair, and lots of subscriptions to newsletters by writers who make me want to write. thanks for being one of those things today. 🧡
